Sources inside the front office have leaked the names being comsidered for Columbus's coaching vacancy. Unfortunately, they leaked it to Eklund....here are the rumoured names Columbus may or may not be interviewing:

Gordon Bombay

....an internationally-successful coach. He beat Iceland! Best known for taking a scrappy ragtag Minnesota peewee team to a championship. As many compare Columbus to a ragtag peewee team, this seems like a good fit.

Hollywood Cannon

...the Veteran GM is apparently being eyed for the Jackets coaching gig. Detractors claim this would be a bad move, as most seasons HC does barely anything as a GM, but as one Columbus staffer put it "if you are doing nothing, you can't do the wrong thing. Touche"

Ron MacLean

...this one is admittedly a long-shot. The rumour is that longtime Hockey Analyst Ron MacLean would try his hand at coaching, leaving CBC to hire Brian Burke to replace him in Coach's Corner. The sheer awesomeness though of Burkie and Cherry in the same segment would likely cause televisions across the country to explode, plunging Canada into darkness, followed by looting and civil unrest. It is unlikely the CBC will take that risk.
