Salary Cap

  • The salary cap maximum from the trade deadline to the entry draft is $69M.
  • There will be no salary cap minimum from the trade deadline to the entry draft.
  • Pro-rated cap hits will be moved in trades (use Capgeek's Armchair GM tool and click "deadline").
  • An injured player that is expected to return by the actual NHL trade deadline may be used on your roster.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players at the trade deadline.
  • Teams may have as many players on their playoff roster as they wish.
  • The salary cap maximum for the 2015-2016 season is $72M.
  • Teams may exceed the cap maximum by 10% during the offseason.
  • Teams must comply with the salary cap by the end of the game.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players by the end of the game.
  • Teams may sign their draft picks to contracts using the ENTRY LEVEL CONTRACT CHART
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Waivers/Buyouts
  • Post in this thread if you’d like to place a player on waivers.
  • Burying a player in the minors or Europe only eliminates a maximum of $900k of their cap hit.
  • A player will be on waivers for 24 hours.
  • Waiver priority will be based on the 2013-2014 NHL standings.
  • If a team claims a player off of waivers, they then have the lowest waiver priority.
  • Teams are permitted to use a maximum of TWO ordinary buyouts.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Trades
  • All trades must be sent to IslesRock4 and RR or else they are not valid.
  • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
  • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
  • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. The commissioners hold the power to veto any ridiculous trades.
  • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player(s) to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH trade managers prior to posting. Keep in mind that not all NTCs or NMCs will be waived.
  • The commissioners will provide an 8-team no-trade list for players with a "modified NTC/NMC" on capgeek upon request.
  • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
  • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.
  • Vetoed deals must be significantly altered in order for them to be accepted.
  • If a player waives his NTC or NMC, the NTC or NMC will still be valid with their new team.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Agents
  • ? will be the agent for East RFAs.
  • ? will be the agent for West RFAs.
  • ChuckyToGally will be the in-season agent for UFAs.

Anyone looking for some veteran depth, we have some cheap UFA's in Bergenheim, Fleischmann, Kopecky and Upshall (willing to retain salary). Just looking for a prospect in return, no one special obviously. Campbell, Boyes and Bolland also available.

Willing to listen on Bjugstad, Huberdeau and Kulikov. Not interested in 1st round picks though.

- Waive Brad Hunt and Will Acton for re-assignment to OKC.
- Recall Anton Lander from OKC.
- Are sure glad we sent Leon Draisaitl back to junior before his 10th NHL game.

We have something in the hopper, hope to have something to announce later.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

:sharks :flames

The Calgary Flames have acquired defenseman Taylor Doherty from the San Jose in exchange of forward Ben Hanowski.

"Doherty is a monster defenseman with a decent skill set and physical game. He's got a solid defensive game with decent offense as well. Hits and fights as well. We like Dohertys potential and we believe he can develop into a solid defenseman for us. Good luck to Ben in San Jose".

Thanks to Sharks GM for the smooth negotiations.

Confirm. We'd like to wish Taylor the best of luck with Calgary and are excited to have Ben here (well, in Worcester).

Looking for an updrage in net as well as on the blue-line. A third-line centre would be a nice add too. Actively shoping Niklas Backstrom and Kyle Brodziak.

PM me if you have something we can discuss.

Have a good deal in place to acquire a top 6 winger. Saad, Teravainen, and our 1st could all be moving out soon, so get your offers in quickly.

:habs had 2 major deals set up and failed to get either one to work out. We are now open for business

Moen and Bourque can be had for very very cheap.

Looking for a top 4D looking to package Plekanec/Eller+Gilbert+ for the right guy

Also looking for a top 6 winger that we'd be ready to move our 2015 1st+prospects for

Apart from that we are open to moving anyone but Subban, Price, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Beaulieu and Scherbak. (Pacioretty can be had but the price would be very very expensive)

Andrej Sekera will be dealt today. Get your best offer in if you're interested.

Eric Staal is available but the offers have been underwhelming so it looks like he will not be moving.

Alex Semin is also available but not looking to dump him, will need quality assets in return.

Cam Ward available for cheap for anyone interested.

The Rangers are very excited to announce the acquisition of #1 Center Joe Thornton from the San Jose Sharks. We see Joe as a very nice compliment to Derek Stepan as a 1-2 punch and someone who we can play with Rick Nash for the foreseeable future. He will also greatly help our PP which is a huge positive for a team towards the bottom of the league.
