Seidenmoose assists Claude by breaking down tape of Flying V.

This nostalgic GDT is brought to you by...

...because the North Stars will always be in District 5.

Disclaimer 1: Yes, the movie was the "predictable" way to go for this GDT but sometimes in life predictability provides comfort in an otherwise chaotic world. Plus, The Mighty Ducks movie was filmed in my hometown, including scenes at Elliot Park (where Bombay meets District 5 and I played my share of "pond" hockey),Theodore Wirth Golf Course Clubhouse (Hans' shop and where I infamously hit a duck with an approach shot) and yes, Met Center, home of the NORTH STARS and where I saw my first NHL game (also now the home of the ******* Mall of America.) If you have a problem with my stroll down memory lane, go to the GDT sign up thread and sign up for the chance to relive your youth in GDT graphic form. Otherwise you can bring it up with Basil and Mike....where you can appreciate Basil's 2,453 PIM's in person.

Disclaimer 2: "The Mighty Ducks" is the second best hockey movie...behind "Miracle," naturally. If you disagree with me, tough. You're just wrong. Accept it. So says I, the Original Cake Eater.

You get me?

I'm pretty excited for this Cali swing but it sucks the games are on so late, I hate waiting until 10 or 10:30 for a game.

I'm glad we get to see Florek on the 4th line again, he played really well with Paille and Campbell and has some speed for a big guy.

I am going to take a little nap after I get home for work and hopefully stay up for the game.

Out of the three teams I think the Ducks might be the toughest to beat given their home record but I would love to see the Bruins hand them their first loss on home ice.

Great GDT-the Seidenmoose helping Claude breakdown the Flying V made me laugh.

I like the Mighty Ducks but think the sequels mostly sucked.

Kinda like those. Get up at 4 am, watch the game, take a shower and go to work. :)

I just want them to play well, avoid injury and use this road trip as a measuring stick for the level they need to get to. The Bruins are often guilty of playing down to the level of their opponents so lets hope it'll work the other way. We haven't played many playoff teams over the past month so regardless of what points we get this will be a good way to re-focus and motivate them during the midway point of the season. Would love to be the team that breaks ANA's streak but it's gonna be tough for sure. All 3 teams are playing some great hockey and if we make it out of the East I wouldn't be shocked to see any of them standing between us and the cup. The west is crazy this year.

It's going to be very interesting to see how our young guys deal with the stronger teams. Our young D and Spooner will be closely watched for sure. As many have mentioned this road trip is going to be very telling about where the B's stand and what our needs are. And I really hope Rask is feeling like a bada** cause we're gonna need him in the zone.

Mighty Ducks is the best hockey movie. I've fallen asleep every time I've tried to watch Slapshot.

Very tough game!

Ducks are big and skate really well.

Perry is one of those players who can do it all - skates really well, great skill, great shot, big tough SOB, can fight if he has too and drives the other team crazy.

A player you love to hate, but would love to have on your team!

I have very early mornings this week so I may have to miss this road trip. Sucks too. I would love to see the Bs hand the Ducks their first regulation home loss.

THESE 3 games will give us a very solid indication of how Mr. Spooner`s game holds up against the league`s best

Go B`s

He's fancy, he'll go glove!

And not that I have a problem with it, but why is the game day music for today Marky Mark?

And yes Adam, I get you! :yo:

Why the eff not?

It's in the movie.

Honestly though, if folks think there's any sort of rhyme or reason associated to any of this stuff, I have people good and fooled.

For fun though, I wonder if anyone knows whose desk Seidenmoose is sitting at? It's the desk of a famous coach (the person in post 2 is disqualified from answering since I already told her).

Huge 3 games to see how the kids respond....not the end of the season if we have a bad trip....however it will allow the Bruins management to see what is required or not required to add. PVR for me though after the 1st period tonight !
