Even if Kassian isn't hurt, I'd sit him down for Vey. Kassian has consistently been the third best player on his line.

It's unfortunate, but he might need that kick in the ass to get going. For all the praise he gets for his great "on ice vision" he never seems to get the puck to anyone in a scoring area and has been loathe to drive the net. Both his linemates have gotten pucks to the front of the net in recent games while Zack is drifting off into the corner looking to set up the cycle. I can think of a handful of times when he could have had a goal this year if he'd been driving the net for rebounds.

Frankly, he doesn't look like a guy that has the brain to ever be more than a third liner.

Also, credit where it's due: Willie recognized that Matthias was struggling at centre and moved him to the wing. His natural instincts as a player seem to suit that role better -- it makes me wonder if he was overthinking the game at center, because on the wing he's been terrific at gaining zone entries with speed/control and either driving the net or setting up play in the opposition's end. Definitely a guy I'd look to re-sign sooner than later. He'd be a nice fit with Horvat in the next few years.
