I think we win this one.
I also like moving Sbisa to the top 4.
He's been solid recently. Good to see Willie rewarding him.
We need Stanton to get back to how he was playing earlier and we should be fine.

The state of our bottom 4 defense right now reminds me of that game against the Hawks a few years back when we had multiple injuries to guys like Mitchell, Salo and Bieksa and had to dress Lukowich and Sauve. Lukowich scored a beauty Ehrhoff-like goal where he just snuck into the slot from the blueline and let er rip. Pretty sure we won that game too.

I'm hoping that Horvat doesn't get the pressbox treatment after a strong game.

Miller needs to be on the top of his game, especially with the defense that's gonna be in front of him. Biggest test this year so far

If I was doing defense I would do:

Edler - Tanev
Stanton - Bieksa
Sbisa - Weber

Would love to see Horvat get more ice time.

Maybe for the bottom six I would do

Matthias - Horvat - Kassian
Dorsett - Richardson - Hansen

Defense has me worried, but hopefully Chicago tires themselves out ragdolling the woefully hapless Oilers.

Canucks 5, Chicago 4. Kassian with 5 points, Hossa and Keith with 4 each.

^^^Totally unrelated to my pool.

Horvat needs Chicago and NJ, how the hell do you sit him in either.

If Burrows is back sit Horvat for tommorow, let Vey sit for NJ

I think Horvat will have another good game. He has played well against players like Kopitar and Kesler already. It would be sick if he shutdown Toews and Kane, then you have Tanev that can shut them down too.

Well Chicago ended up having a night off tonight, so let's see. They'll probably woop us.

Just answered your own question... :help:

Sad for Burrows but so happy that he sat out the last game and got Horvat in the lineup. Imagine where the media would be had he not played.
