Gleason to Car for 1.2M?

So what's our cap hit currently for the gleason buy out?

Leafs don't look to be spending anywhere near the cap.

Buying out Gleason was a mistake by Nonis.

Now we're stuck with dead cap space for 4 years when we should have simply brought him back then traded him with half his salary retained OR bought him out next year (1 less year of dead cap space).

Came in to the Leafs, was the only guy willing to block shots and put his body on the line then he gets bought out ... poor guy

Glad he got a contract tho he deserves to be an NHL'er

How was buying out Gleason a mistake by Nonis? My god, the guy played a couple good games for us, but he’s barely an NHLer at this point in his career.

What Gleason did bring to the Leafs was a tenacity on defense....when was the last time before Gleason we saw one of our defensemen drop the gloves and go if anyone even looks 2X at our goaltender? What Tim Gleason did contribute was to instill, at the very least, a fear in opposing players taking liberty with our goalies. For that I thank him.
