What Happened Last November
This is where the dark days happened for our team. We had a week off before going off to Vancouver (a place we never won in 10 years). Kassian sliced Bolland's tendon, Bozak was out with an oblique strain and Kadri got himself suspended for 2 games, leaving us with JVR playing centre, McClemment practically having 2nd ice time, Jarred Smithson signed, Holland traded for, and Trevor Smith up for awhile until he broke his hand.
November. Sucked. and it showed as we won four times, but 3 of those wins were courtesy of the shootout.
November also featured being smoked by Columbus (again), being beat by Erhoff's seeing eye puck (going through the skate of Gunnarson), Kessel's own goal in Minnesota (leading to the shootout loss) and of course. being up 4-1 over Pittsburgh, only to let Malkin go godmode, and losing 6-5 in the shootout.
Oh. and this
What's happening This November
Well - the most we can hope for coming into this month is being 1 game over .500, but a very real possibility that we could be 3 games under - depending on how playing Buffalo and Columbus works out.
and the schedule doesn't lend itself any favours either.
Critical Games
at least getting points off Atlantic division teams. as of right now we only have 1.
My prediction -we're going to sink further into McEichFin territory or at Least Dylan Strome Territory.
this was tough to do, because quite frankly, a lot of those teams, based on systematic play alone? will dummy us. But in theory we always do well vs. Lundqvist, Kessel and Kadri feast on Bishop, Reimer plays beastmode in Ottawa... so that should give us a few points.
