- Montreal, in vacuum, is a great city. Lots of things to see and to do, festivals all summers (in a Covid-less World) and the city truly never sleep. Top 10 city in the World for partying.

- If you work your ass off, fans will adore you. Being really good is a major plus, but we want players that give a f***.

- If you like stardom, there's no other place to go.

1. Fk me, I'm a rock star in Montreal.
2. Fk me, I'm a rock star in Montreal.
3. Fringe benefits of being a rock star.

Granted, 1 & 2 will be red flags to a fair number of players. Perhaps #3 may be a red flag for some dedicated family guys, or other senior decision makers in their domestic envinroment ;-)

-the chance to learn a new language and embrace a new culture
-great bang for your buck metropolitan lifestyle
-the chance to become a real sports legend. Not just an NHL superstar.

Why do you say that about the REM ?
Since it'll end up costing me about $150 a month to get from the south shore to downtown, and take about 45 minutes. Without the REM, I could get downtown in about 20 minutes for $80 a month. It's great for some people, but absolutely terrible for my situation.
