If this award is truly for the Most Valuable to his team, the award goes to G hands down.

But, that's just the name.

I don't know if you take Crosby off Pittsburgh this year good chance they struggle to get into the playoffs. Malkin, Neal, & Letang all missed at least 20+ games this year amongst other injuries to players on the team. He was one of the few to actually remain healthy throughout the year. I just think the gap in points is just too hard to ignore, maybe it would have been closer if Giroux at least hit 90+ points. I know he had Kunitz on the one side of him but it was basically a revolving door of stiffs on the other side since Dupuis went down & he still managed to put lead the league in points by double digits.

As much as I don't like the guy it's hard for me to say he isn't the most worthy of the award.
