Varlamov probably deserved the nod, but happy for Giroux.

Crosby will win it in a landslide, but nice to get some recognition for his incredible run after his poor start.

From Team Canada snub to Hart Trophy finalist.

Not too bad, G.

It's really depressing seeing how much help the other players considered for the Hart have. Getzlaf has Perry, Crosby has Malkin (not the same line, but on the PP and to split matchups), Benn has Seguin. Before this year, Stamkos had St Louis. Ovi and Backstrom too.

We really need to get Giroux an elite scorer on his line. Bobby Ryan, amirite guys?

Bobby Ryan would be great, but I'm not sure Ottawa wants to ruin how well him and Turris played together this year.

But who knows, they didn't make the playoffs so all bets are off when it comes to who stays and goes.

If this award is truly for the Most Valuable to his team, the award goes to G hands down.

But, that's just the name.

NOt only most valuable but maybe the best leader in the game today. It is hard not to step out on the ice and see number 28 and not feel confident about your chances.

If the award was truly for value Giroux would certainly have a good shot. 3rd in points for $5 million is pretty solid, don't quiet know if he's the most valuable but I would think high up there.
