Please do not quote gifs, we've already seen them.

I have an older computer and it takes several minutes to scroll through multiple reposts of a gif I've already seen.

What is the point of having the same gif in three or four posts in a row?

Personally I would like to see gifs banned completly, if I want to watch a play I would like the option to hit play and watch it.

These gifs do nothing but force people to watch what YOU think is important.

Have you looked into using some kind of adblocker? I could maybe support a reasonable file size limit for posted images, but banning gifs is going too far in this day and age.

Turns out HFBoards has an option in your control panel to turn off images, avatars and signatures:

Click User CP in the red bar up and to the left. Click Edit Options in the bar at the left, scroll down to thread display options, clear the relevant checkboxes.
