Giants & Tigers strike blockbuster deal Saturday afternoon – WHL Network

As a former Giant ticket holder can anyone analyze the trade? I lost touch a bit. I know the Giants have been a disappointment so far this year. I heard they were suppose to be a decent favorite to go to the Memorial Cup. Maybe this was just a shuffling of players to try and get things going?

Svejkovsky requested a trade but the team also really needed a shakeup up front. Not sure this is the right move but something needed to change. At least for the today Patrician and Ostapchuk have been pushed down the roster to positions more suited for their skill level.
