Is it possible to see players leave via the main terminal at RDU or do they have their own private terminal so people like me wanting autographs cant find them! But.. to be specific im asking about foreign teams..like the Ottawa Senators.

Any help would be great!

You can try going out to where the players exit from the arena after the game outside the arena. I can't remember exactly where it is but people usually wait out there after games and get stuff signed.

This is where you'll want to go, but it's still a long shot for visiting players: http://goo.gl/maps/y8Mdh

I have no idea where visiting teams fly in and out of at RDU, but I'm almost positive you aren't getting close enough to them there to get an autograph.

The Canes use a private terminal. I wouldn't bother trying to get autographs there. Your best bet is at Raleigh Center Ice after or before practice, or at the PNC arena. I have no idea if visiting teams use private terminals or not, but I'd guess they do. Most teams stay at the Umstead Hotel. But I also doubt they'd allow you to loiter in the lobby.

As others have said, the players' entrance to PNC is your best bet for autographs.

My contribution is this: you had better bring a big sign with your favorite player's name in giant letters and be willing to go ****ing crazy to get him over to you. They're pretty far away and basically just walking from the door to the bus. Likelihood of getting one of them to come over is low unless you can really get their attention. The Hurricanes are much easier because they are driving their personal vehicles and will often stop for a few minutes.

Note: if you want the autograph of a former Sen, you have a good shot at catching Corvo on the way out :)

Slim chance of that happening. Both the Canes and visiting teams use the General Aviation terminal out near the Observation Deck, but they go straight from the chartered plane (generally Air Canada unless its from the deep south like the Panthers or Bolts) to the charter bus behind the fence, so you're wasting your time trying to go there.

Your best bet is waiting outside the gate at the Arena.

I was under the impression that more teams were now staying at the Renaissance at North Hills or at least it seems that way given reports of player sightings at the movie theater there and at the Moe's a certain HFBoarder doles up queso at.

That may be true. I don't stalk hotels, and was basing that off what I heard a year or so ago. I can definitely see how North Hills would be 100X more appealing to players, than the Umstead.

Yeah, didn't want to post anything "in public" but garnetpalmetto is right. The Renaissance actually has an exclusive contract with the NHL, all the teams stay there.
