Doubt he'll get claimed, rebuilding teams don't want 29 year old forwards with no upside, PO teams don't have a role for him (not a checker or enforcer, not good enough offensively for a 3rd line role, similar to Weal in that regard).

Would be worth bringing back to the Phantoms next year as a veteran.

To give Mayhew credit, despite his lack of size, he's willing to go to the dirty areas and take punishment to score goals.
That does elevate your Sh%.
He's not a NHL caliber forward, but he's not a bad callup option on your AHL team when you have a string of injuries.
Like Seeler, he's fine for a week or two, but if you need him for a month or two you've got serious problems.

Like Seeler, he is garbage.
Like Seeler, no one played him in the NHL last year
Like Seeler, he played on the Flyers.
Like Seeler and Gary, Stewart was a non NHLer one year, then a Flyer in the NHL

At least mome of this ever matters because a a they won't play. I don’t think any have even been on the ice for a goal against they matter so little.

Must need a little salary cap space and roster spot for the upcoming trade.

Blame Hextall and all those mid-round forwards who didn't even become 4th line stalwarts.
