Any discussion of why mcLaughin hasn't seen the ice? Kind of surprising feels like he got closer to playing in Boston than he has in providence
Been their best and most consistent lineIs this Providence version of
Frederic - Coyle - Smith?
I think you're selling him short....It appears him / his line-mates are playing well. Let's hope he turns out to be a productive player for Boston.
Been their best and most consistent line
Hope all three can keep it up... I know Brazeau skating could always improve
Who knows.... At the nhl level that would be a really heavy 4th line.
Steady, smart, recovery speed is noticeable, needs reps and needs to be taken out of his comfort zone which probably won't happen this year, good start but only a few games inHow has Callahan looked in Prov?

Saw him yesterday. He was paired with Didier who’s been sketchy lately. But he made some nice plays including getting his own rebound and almost scoring on his follow up shot. Couple mistakes here and there but not out of place at all.How has Callahan looked in Prov?
Somehow, I'm not surprised..

How does a Boston contract player get traded to another AHL team? Wouldn’t the trade be Boston to St. Louis and then assigned to Springfield? He had a 2 way deal with Boston
This ought to be interesting
4th line / PK specialist. By all accounts he's pretty good at it. Could be a late bloomer. I always like the under-dog.Id love for him to take a step in development that gets him a spot in Boston. That would be great for a late round pick to become an NHLer as it doesn’t happen all that much.
I’m just trying to look at it logically. He’s 24 years old in his 4th AHL season. While he’s taken steps in development, I don’t see them as huge steps (full time NHL caliber steps).
It’s funny. I just looked up Tralmaks and he’s actually a year older than Koppanen. He’s in his first full season (producing at a 0.52 PPG clip). His other line mate is Brazeau who many here say he’s probably just an AHLer. In his 2nd season, He’s producing the best out of the three at 0.62 PPG. I think it’s a good AHL line with a lot of size and AHL skill.
I think it really depends on what you’re expecting him to be at the NHL level, if he makes it. What are you seeing?
NVM - missed your last note. STL traded for him.How does a Boston contract player get traded to another AHL team? Wouldn’t the trade be Boston to St. Louis and then assigned to Springfield?
SE if you have a chance would like to hear your thoughts on all 3 players...most likely to make NHL, most improved? room to grown and make impact?Been their best and most consistent line
Brazeau, AHL contract for next year, solid AHL player, PP specialist, wonderful hands, woeful skating, don't see NHL upsideSE if you have a chance would like to hear your thoughts on all 3 players...most likely to make NHL, most improved? room to grown and make impact?
Gotta love the size and the +/- is impressive for line with 3 big dudes not always known for speed / offensive/defensive threats.
enough room for a few more free walletsSt Louis is reporting they traded for him and assigned him to Springfield, that makes more sense
Boston is now at 44 contracts out of 50
Honestly, he did not look good this weekend, the locker room must love him.Thoughts gentlemen/ladies?
Thank you for posting, Eric. I was on my way to see if it had been posted.
