Happy with the third round pick, I have this feeling he is going to put up a good amount of points over the next couple weeks while Colorado tries to push the offense out of him.
In the end though, I don't ever think he's going to be a good enough defender to be a consistent NHL defender.

Gelinas clearly wasn't happy with his role here, and I wouldn't be surprised if he requested a trade. I certainly wouldn't hold it against him. You don't want someone hanging around who is disgruntled and who doesn't add much value to the team.
This is best for both the organization and the player.
He could. It sounds like he's going to slot in as Colorado's #6 which means regular playing time and powerplay time. He could at least potentially thrive in that environment.Seems like a good deal to me.
Hope he does well in Colorado (he won't).
