Not that he would have earned a lot necessarily, but good not to try to go too high. A lower cap hit might be the difference in being on the team if cap space gets tight. He had some stretches where he didn't do a whole lot (good or bad) but he also had a stretch where he was suddenly making some really amazing passes. I'm excited to see if he can improve and get more consistent.

I still would take a look at him if I was Seattle and he's available. He could be an intriguing pick up with some skill and a little bit of experience that might be ready to take his game up a notch or two in the right situation. I'd still expect them to look at the dman we leave exposed, but he could make sense.

I think/hope that Geekie will get a real shot at being a NHLer next year. He has some interesting middle 6 upside. Lorentz passed him last year but he should have another good chance next season.
