I think the bass player as the least talented is a myth because they don't usually take centre stage and it's harder to hear them over the other instruments in rock and to a lesser degree metal.

I would like to watch Geddy and Sting hang out. I am curious about what the dynamic between the two would be like. Their similarities are quite similar, but their differences are quite different..

I am thinking that Sting is very under-rated as a bass player. His playing during the Police is pretty great and just as important to the sound as what Summers and Copeland were doing.
