Never liked the trade, but at least this trade made sense to me and I understood what mb was trying to do.

The subban trade did me in, made no sense, it’s lateral at best and I’ll never be totally invested until MB’s gone. I couldn’t stand how he treated Markov.

What was he trying to do in trading from an area of weakness (LD) for an area of excess (wingers). He did so while holding all the cards (Tampa had no cap to sign Drouin to market value). He even gave a conditional pick (that luckily never materialized) , talk about being an awful negotiator. Especially when you look at past trades of young D for forwards.
