the nhl preseason is absurdly long, like did they make it longer this year???

He's also a 05 born so it's not like he's an older guy either. If he doesn't get signed he will re-enter the draft next summer. So if he has a good season theres a chance he can get drafted next summer. So theres som risk in waiting to sign him (if they have interest)

Reirden is coaching one and Velluci is coaching the other. Sullivan, Dubas, Spezza and a few other management folks will attend each game.

Split-squad. They do this every year against CBJ because they're the closest, geographically. There's 50-something guys at camp. Before the initial cuts they like to see them in a game or two. So they'll be able to get around to 40 of them today.
