The games against Arizona and Edmonton seem like the only inconsequential games that winning doesn't hurt their draft interests. All the other games still do at this stage. I still enjoy seeing the kids get more opportunities even if they're not getting the job done yet.

Eklund has a good chance to finish as a 0.5 PPG player this season and I think that's great for his development. If Smith plays on the big club next year, just the prospect of watching those 2 together will be more exciting than anything else we have seen in a few years.
