Dallas was the first complete and utter shit game they played this year. Visually.. they looked like ass

7-5 is a precarious record that can get ugly quick.

This is a fun and entertaining hockey team that isn't on the same page at all. Nice guys, say the right things off the ice but not on the ice where it matters. Collectively the give a shit o meter hasn't been on the same level as their opponents.

There's a few players on this team that have mastered the art of making it look like they're trying without actually trying. You can tell what kind of game we'll get by how hard they attack the net.

They came out saying this wasn't the 2017 team, so far it isn't... if just barely.

Without the immense additions of Kane and Hyman it would look very much like 2017. Improved goaltending too but you wouldn't know it reading the board. The team isn't on the same page, its not even a page, and its concerning. When your star players and first line are being outscored it is. Lately we're depending on guys like Ryan to row the game back and really the last two games he's been our best forward. I think something happens to this club when it gets beat by working teams that focus on all lines and shifts work. In their minds they know theyr'e being exposed but not a lot of push back to it.

Just back from bourbon trip Day 1. Gal at the hotel bar has the game on auto tune for me for 8 pm (Louisville time). Heading for dinner now. Hope ill be sober enough to watch the game in 2.5 hours.
