I think when we're winning we're more fun to watch than the wins we had last season. Largely due to EK. But we will likely be about as good as we were last season overall
Yeah, EK has been f***ing awesome to watch. Sid and Geno are still good. Rust pulled a 180, but so did Rakell. Smith has been good, but I don't think his play through the first 15 games is sustainable.

That team will beat us every single time we play them for the simple reasons that Ruff is a far superior coach to MS, and they have an entire team of younger legs. Geno being sick definitely didn’t help.

But as a coach, you don’t broadcast your system changes days before you go up against a sly old sob sailor like Lindy Ruff. He really put himself at a disadvantage by doing that. Whatever. We probably can’t beat them anyway.
Broadcast your system changes? What in the wide world of sports are you talking about?

The system changes are visible to anyone watching the games, which are public. It's not complex. It's not groundbreaking. It just comes down to execution.

Every coach who has prepared for the Penguins for the last six games identified the system changes in video sessions with their team. Guarantee it.

Absolutely ridiculous to think that anyone talking about the changes meant a damn thing.

They point and counterpointed us tonight like no other team has done this season. Against a team missing a ton of talent on a losing streak.

Maybe just keep your mouth shut and stop bragging about how your one little tweak got you out of a potentially season-ending-tailspin-before-the-season-even-started-scenario, and on a decent win streak?

LOL.

Sullivan and the players saying anything about their adjustments had nothing to do with how the Devils played tonight.

Plus, the Penguins largely shot themselves in the foot with puck mismanagement. Yeah, the Devils play with speed and are generally hard to play against, but the Pens were just sloppy. The opponent didn't matter tonight. The Pens would've lost to probably 75-80% of the league tonight with how careless and lackadaisical they were.
