Because he didn't touch the puck. He hit Pettersons stick which pushed the puck towards Rantanen

Because he didnt touch the puck. He waved his stick and Pettersson lost the puck trying to pull it back. Bo couldve got a goal and 2 assists prior to getting hurt had Helm and LOC not get robbed and if he himself didnt get robbed prior to the Landy goal.

I think they should've gone harsher but all things considered this was a rare good call by both DOPS and the on-ice refs. A match penalty and additional two games. A lot of times I think they see the match penalty and decline to punish the player any further but they felt it was warranted here.
