Not watching the game and don't care the Wings are losing. The entire hockey world was waiting to see if the 'streak' would end and regardless of how we got in we are only a few minutes away from a quarter century of the most remarkable playoff streak in North American professional sports.

Except during a significant chunk of their streak the league had 21 teams of which 16 (aka >75%) made the playoffs.

Thus why I said the Detroit streak of 25 is more remarkable.

Wow, a bunch of downers on here.

This was a game where they played better but came up on the wrong end.

When it was 1-1, Wings were the better team and Raanta was shutting them down. Then Rangers score and we're down 2-1 with minutes left in a game that clinches if they win. Obviously the goalie gets pulled, and the Rangers score an EN. That's the risk you take when you pull the goalie. And being in the same situation, they pull the goalie again. And score! Now it's 3-2. They get a 6 on 3 with 20 seconds left with the goalie pulled, Datsyuk sliding up to the face-off dot. It was an exciting game and an exciting finish! And looks like no harm since Boston will likely lose in regulation!
