Race is on for the season to end and not a moment too soon. Here we are with only 2 games left after tonight's Fig match up.
It feels like long ago when the Habs were able to count on their dynamic duo. That Cole and Nick bromance provided a lot of levity.

Instead of that, we have had a season that has felt like a long, slow climb to a place that nobody wanted to go to.
To navigate through it all, we've had the recurring expert prognostications and permutations of forum ninja, @Adam Michaels, who explained his methodology in his exciting new book:
Which, on most nights, with all the moving parts involved, felt something like this:
It also means getting near the end of the road for some characters in this saga, who are not likely to return next season.

For this one other player who has disappeared from the Habs entourage but who is still on the Habs' payroll, that too shall pass ...
Of course, the season was not without its annoying accessories like the retro reverse jersey and what it ultimately embodied ...
That retro reverse jersey unfortunately, did not come alone. It also included the return of a disturbing mascot that no one asked for and that most hoped might be highly flammable ...

But hey, out with the old and in with the new.
Some real exciting bright spots emerged, having us look forward to next season with a healthy dose of excitement.
