First off I would prefer to switch Hymen and Marleau why not take advantage of your first lines chemistry that JT Marner and Hymen have going ? Second what makes some of you think the Mathews group is magically the 1 PP ? The JT , Marner group is clearly the top group on this team regardless of who they get saddled with .

Probably because the TSN article that was quoted said Hyman was on the top PP unit and the tweets listed that unit as the first unit. Not that PP1 and PP2 matter with Babs.

I'm sick and tired of the formation. The high slot guy does nothing whether Kadri or anybody else

I never have a good word to say about Babcock, but I am happy with the PP changes. Babs was never going to play the stacked PP1 for the 75% of PP time that other team's play their stacked lines, so you might as well split them. And with Matthews and Nylander back together at ES I had been expecting them to be switched to the same PP unit. I don't have an issue with Hyman on the PP. I feel that they need to try something very different and I suspect you are going to see a different set up for that unit than we had previously seen. If it doesn't work, well their current PP units are not scoring either.

I also strongly suspect we are going to see Hyman return to the Matthews/Nylander line at ES sometime before the start of the playoffs. Johnsson-Tavares-Marner was very strong during the games Hyman missed.

Happy about the PP adjustments. I was suggesting this earlier because there is too big of a drop off from our first unit to our second.

Hope we clinch tomorrow

the crazy thing is that in terms of scoring chances created, our PP is the best in the league.....by 8 country miles.

Shot Attempts per 60min on the PP

1.TOR 113.36
2.SJS 108.19
3.VGK 106.06
4.CAR 103.52
5.PHI 102.18

a nice lead there, but that doesn't tell the half of it...

Scoring Chances per 60min on the PP

1.TOR 76.11
2.SJS 57.89
3.EDM 55.56
4.TBL 54.59
5.NYI 53.69

Like 30-40% ahead of the rest of the pack. blowing everyone out of the water.

High Danger Scoring Chances per 60min on the PP

1.TOR 34.95
2.PHI 25.47
3.SJS 24.99
4.NYI 24.04
5.CAL 23.62

again, blowing everyone out of the water.

there's a non-zero chance that changing our PP is a bad idea, as it could have exploded at any time.

We knew they’re bad, but we didn’t know they were this bad.
