We have a chance to catch the Kings in the home stretch here. Taking third in the Pac would mean we play the Oilers instead of the Wild (hypothetical based on current standings).

The Wild seem to be peaking at this point. They have been on fire.

There isn't a very big gap between us and the Kings. I like our chances.

They've improved a bit since the tdl which I think gives them the edge

I think it's more likely the Kings win the division and this will be the first playoff matchup for the Kraken.

I would not want to face LA in the playoffs. Or the Oilers. Vegas and Minnesota don't scare me quite as much.

So are we now convinced the Burakovsky never hits the ice again this year or what? And what the heck is a "lower-body injury" anyway? Can't be something like an ACL or he'd be put on injured reserve. And didn't he suffer this problem without a hit or a fall? Just skating onto the ice then turning around? C'mon Hakstol, you don't have to be even less transparent than the NFL. What's going on?

This is pretty much how I always look at stuff. All you can do is take care of your business, tune out the external factors.
