Habs took one on the chin last Saturday against the Canes, where they not only took an L but couldn't manage to score.
Given the lost season and remaining meaningless games, makes one wonder how some fans keep on rolling with the team, watching every last match up.
It's one thing to watch games at home but then you have these other hardcore specimens who can't help but lay down their cash by attending home games. Where is all that disposable moolah coming from?
Never mind that -- what makes fans pony up game in and game out at the Bell Centre?
Begs the question of @expy 's mysterious disappearance. He's usually posting PGTs with ninja-like timing but somehow, he never showed after the Canes game.
Could @expy have ... pulled the plug on this sad sack of a season ending?
Maybe, maybe not. We only know two things about him -- he's got an internet signal from the future and he'll appear just as mysteriously and unexpectedly as he'll vanish.
One big difference with the Habs' losing seasons since Hughes was named -- there are no fans wearing paper bags. For the most part, the rebuild seems to have been widely accepted unless you count those shills on RDS and other local media who don't like how the rebuild is impacting their audience ratings.
Here's to you Gilbert Delorme, Norman Flynn, Gaston Therrien and other like-minded curmudgeons -- it's happening with or without you and notwithstanding your horrid AC set design, harsh lighting, cheesy props, bad suits and unwanted crotch cam shots.
Oh yeah, and horrible shoewear ...
And no, none of us are delusional, we know full well that no team run by a Generalissimo like Marty is setting out to throw games.
So, please forgive some fans who are having their little bit of fun with tanking memes and such -- none of it will change anything.
The master has it all under control.
Last but not least, as much as Josh Anderson has downspiraled into an abyss, one Joel Armia has taken his game into a whole other stratosphere and it has not gone unnoticed. We're all finally seeing what our trusted forum oracle @The Real Timo has been clamoring over several months about how he will eventually lead us to "da playoffs."
Jeez Yoelle, what has gotten into you, man? We sure love this version of you.
We as Habs fans have noticed his evolution but what about the so-called experts and scouts from other teams -- should they not have been pursuing him aggressively as a playoff addition?
Simply put, the man has been en fuego over the past 3 months!
What's a little more heat to a guy who has been handling it as the team's best defensive forward of late.
