How many practices like that has it been now under Marchand's leadership? 3? 4? Feels like I have heard more about bad practices in 3/4 of a year than Chara's and Bergeron's captaincy combined. Certainly never heard the team wasn't ready for the play-offs 70 games in,
You gotta think they respond with a resounding win. They got called onto the carpet pretty good.
They gave been careless with fundamental hockey lately. Not protecting puck with to many turnovers

Yeah, when you bring intensity for 1/10 games you play, I'd say he's correct in his assessment.
Feels like I can count on one hand the games I thought "Damn, they really brought it tonight" - The other times they either give up a lead and have to resort on loser points.

I think this is too little & too late on Monty's part. He should have cracked down half way through the season because by then the pattern of sloppy, lazy play had become obvious to anyone who cared to look closely enough.

Years back I asked for advice from a very respected coach and he told me that its more effective for a coach to first be a jerk, then show signs of decency as the season progresses, rather than be their buddy first, and then try to scream and be tough when things fall apart later on.

Not sure their status for tomorrow, but Panthers yesterday in Philly were without Barkov, Ekblad, Forsling.

True, but I will add - goaltending lost the game for Philly and won it for Florida. Sandstrom let in multiple awful goals, while Stolarz was superb. The shots greatly favored Philly, who controlled the play much of the game.Panthers didn't need Barkov, Ekblad or Forsling to beat Philly and the Bruins couldn't beat them with a full line up the game before.
