I found out what's special about the jersey colours of the Kraken. The same colours of comic strips in saturday's newspaper from the 50's thru 70's. The light grey is the paper and the pale blue is the same pale sky blue of Mandrake the Magician, Tarzan, Dick Tracy or Jim West the western comic strip. Its these colours!

edit : The Phantom too.
Look at the palette colours. Same as the Kraken.
Same red, same pale blue, same light grey white paper, same black.
