For those who want a wonderful laugh, you need to go to two places. First, look at the NHL standings and see how bad the Islanders are. Then, go to the Islanders's Cap friendly page and look at all of their contracts that extend out 6+ seasons. Then look at the ages of those guys.

Lou locked up this terrible team for the better part of a decade, and pretty soon, this same roster with forever contracts will mostly be dudes in their 30s.
