Tough to believe in those stats as they are all completely team related, and we know the Stanley Cup winning Pens teams were a beast offensively so it covers up a lot of warts.

That being said - it does tell me what I already knew from the eye test for the Leafs - our big stars, namely Matthews (cough cough) have not shown up in the deciders. Full stop. Our goalies have stats that only back that up - they aren't the REASON for it.

I mean with these stats if the rafs gave Toronto 100 power plays they would only get around five goals. I'd argue that the refs not giving us power plays helps us more than it hurts us
