I don’t get the point of the 5pm game. Just like the 11pm Canucks game. These arenas aren’t booked.

Let say we rest everyone, what would it look like?

Toffoli - Suzuki - Perry
Tatar - Kotkaniemi - Armia
Lehkonen - Evans - Caufield
Belzile - Staal - Frolik

Edmundson - Kulak
Chiarot - Romanov
Merill - Gustafsson

The schedule is done by the broadcasters, not the NHL. It's all done to have the Leafs games in prime Ontario time every time.

If Petry/Toffoli/Anderson see the ice tonight, it's safe to say Ducharme has no business being NHL head coach. They complain about being tired all year, makes no sense not to rest the best players on this team.

They'll have a week to rest before the PO.

They should take every single day available if fatigue is one of the reasons for them being so bad. This game literally means nothing.

Finishing the season on a win could also be good for the team.

Feel like having a full healthy lineup is the only chance this team has. Winning against the Oilers who will also likely be resting players would be nice but not sure how much it will benefit when Gallagher/Price/Weber/Danault rejoin the team. Toffoli/Anderson/Petry have played a lot of minutes and banged up all year. With all the talk about fatigue personally see 0 benefit from them playing.

I would play as many backups/AHL players as possible.

Boston played with almost an entirely different team last night for their final game.

Boston only have 4 days of rest before starting the playoffs (they play the 15th).

We have a whole week

I'd sit Perry before any other forward. A rested Perry is probably our best player in the bottom 6. Petry is a workhorse, rest or no rest, he'll be fine with a week off.
