None of those three Sabres were even particularly close to Pasta when he got the puck. He had like 2 metres between the closest Sabres player's stick and the boards to work with.

He had three sabres were withing 5 to 10 feet of him, leaving 2 sabres to cover 3 bruins for the rest of the ice. Chara's dee partner was wide open but he looked down at the puck like he does so many times and lost a second to make a better play. A quick saucer to his partner and its a 3 on 2 for us. Poor decision to pass to him, then he did not keep the line on his side like he should have done but backed away to the middle of the blue line leaving his side of the ice wide open and kane an easy breakaway. Not saying Pasta could have done better and he did not but, come on Chara left out to dry and I am sure he knows it as does Pasta for the bad one timer whiff. Most times he makes those passes.
