If there's one thing Detroit fans have been clamoring for for years it's a Samuelsson replacement!

BTW I'm not being argumentative, just poking fun.

LOL. I just remember that Zetterberg's best season came with Samuelsson and Holmstrom flanking him. Samuelsson had a lot of flaws, but there were a few seasons where he was actually a decent top six supplemental scorer.

Plus, I think if Samuelsson had better aim in his career (and especially his prime), he'd be remembered more fondly. A Samuelsson with better aim is, if you ask me, probably a guy with 5+ more goals each season.

Not neglect so much as it is he split starting duties for a long time and all the other Vezina guys were clear starters from the start. Next season, don't worry.
