Wyatt is amazing. Otter flat out stole that game till the offense woke up then he was like yeah, you got your one but no more.

Nice line changes and Harley + Nils is a good top 3 defenders. Duchene deserved to score. Another good game, despite how they started.

Start was indeed rough but that's gonna happen, the Penguins came out flying.

They weathered through it (for the most part) and made the necessary adjustments to take back control of the game.

After the first period Oettinger didn't really have any major tests, which is a big credit to the team defense.

Cant wait to deploy Bichsel, Stankoven, and Bourque to this lineup long term. Future is bright boys. Multiple banners bright.

So starting the games hasn't been a strong suit so far but i guess its more important they're finishing them well

Harley a +6 to start the year.

Great start

To add some context, the next highest on the team is +2 (all of Johnston, Robertson, Smith, and Lundkvist).

He is also #3 on the team in ice time behind only Miro and Esa. If you look at just even strength TOI, he comes in at 2nd about 20 seconds a game behind Miro.

Most of his advanced stats also look incredible so far. Top D on the team in many metrics.

Harley is a gem.

His PDO (estimate of "luck") is ridiculously high at 1.1, so there is that to consider too.

Kinda surprised that no one seems to have noticed that Otter lost a blade on the Pens goal. He probably wouldn't have stopped it even with a better push-off, but it certainly didn't help things. Watch his right skate at the timestamp:

Taking the first period off has worked a couple of times, but I'd rather they don't do it against the Leafs. It'd be nice to get a convincing win at home against that team for a change.

Agree, a slow period vs Toronto could be a 3-0 hole.

Need to take learnings and improve. Hope we get to see Hintz line vs Matthews line for parts of thursdays game. Would be a highlight reel.
