Ha ha, crashing into the glass after a goal is definitely a QMJHL thing. I wonder how long it'll take Nate to grow out of it. I kinda hope never :P

I have no problem with his celly after his 1st goal, he was just so happy to score that he kinda got lost in the moment. He probably won't be so animated from now on unless its a big goal.

Another game and another solid 3rd period performance. Roy has really gotten this team to compete until the buzzer sounds.

Yeah, That's the biggest difference from last year. It always seemed like, leading or trailing, we always had a terrible 3rd period. Now, we fight til the end.

Was just looking at the standings and thought this was pretty cool. Ducks, Bruins, and TML all only have one loss, which was against the Avs. So not only are we undefeated(yeah I know only 5 games in) but, it was against top teams!

#Avs 1st team in NHL history to begin a season with 5 straight wins while allowing no more than 1 goal in each game

Pretty cool, man

Most amazing stat for the Avs this season so far... The only player not a plus for the season is Wilson, who is even.

I'm glad we traded Yakupov for Varly.

Wilson looked terrible out there but I'm willing to give him a break because it was his first game back.

ESPN is such a disgrace reporting NHL hockey:
"Duchene skated in on the right side, worked around defenseman John Carlson and lifted the puck over Neuvirth's shoulder for his third goal."

In their video it was clearly visible that it was Alzner who looked like the pylon there. I don't know what kinda low-budget journalists they have covering the NHL but it's ridiculous.

What is a beaver tap?

It is when a player smacks his stick on the ice to signal that he wants to have the puck.
Dunno what so many people are upset about it since they do it rather rarely in the games.

Good effort from the offense, but we have to tighten up our defense, or it will get ugly sooner or later. Too much running around in our own zone.

Looking around at some stats after the game. Found out that McGinn still hasn't played an "82 game season" with the Avs. He only has 69 games for us. Hard to believe.

22 goals, 18 assist, 69 games is a pretty good record though!
