The night before, he'd gotten together for dinner with some of them and listed as they shared stories of the fun times they had that season, on the ice and off. Tortorella soaked in the hidden message that night, about loosening the reigns and encouraging the "boys" to have a little fun.

Crazy trade

Meh, the trade was fine at the time. They wanted to make a run, so they needed some money off the books. They trades a few picks to lose some dead cap and gave up a bottom 6 center.

Turns out GMGM's team drafts fairly well, though it remains to be seen how the second rounder develops once he's drafted. Plus, I don't think anyone expected Karlsson to do what he's doing, VGK included.
