Just think, Lovejoy is basically being asked to be Letang. I wonder how much Letang helped, or at least covered up for Martin.

The fact that the Rangers are way better is not an excuse. Doesn't excuse the poorly constructed roster (yes, I know injuries are a problem)

Lovejoy ices the puck and then completely ***** the bed on his defensive assignment. He should get the most heat. He's been awful.

Absolutely. I'm not absolving Lovejoy/Martin, just simply pointing out that Winnik was also abysmal on that sequence. I have yet to see him make an impact that has shown me he was worth acquiring.

Hell yea, I'd settle for Peter Sykora. At least there'd have been a guy on the ice in OT that I would have been confident can score a big goal.
