KEYS TO THE GAME

1. DON'T GET VARLAMOV'D
Get going early against Varlamov and get at least one past him. He has killed us in the past so we need to start early on him.

2. MOVE, MOVE, MOVE
Continue moving the puck. Last time out against the Coyotes, we moved the puck brilliantly, and while a handful of goals were softies, the movement was still there and cause the Yotes some trouble.

3. SHOOT THE PUCK
Continue shooting the puck on the PP. It works most often than not so just keep doing it.

4. Oh Captain, My Captain
Toews needs to have a big game. He struggled last time out against the Avs and so this is his time for redemption. I think the line of him with Hossa and Shaw will remain the same, and they have looked a lot better as of late so keep the momentum going!

Avs are hot, Hawks are not, and they're playing against one of their nemesis goaltenders in Varl. In fact he's probably the worst of them. The game takes place in the thin air of the rockies. Logic states Hawks get blown out.... but since when was NHL hockey logical.

GO HAWKS!

I was hoping Varly would get a day off. Oh well. It will be fun watching him make 56 saves out of his ass for a shutout.

Also, in regards to the Toews thing, Kane's 21 point gap between the next player with the most amount of points on the team (Panarin) most be the most in the league. That is fairly ridiculous.

I didn't watch the last game, but what happened to Teuvo? What line is he on?

TT played on the 3rd line and played a good game. He controlled the puck and was very noticeable on the ice. He can bum slay. I believe he played with Desi and Danault? He showed his skill. Should have had 3 assists and not 2. Played well on D.

This has all the makings of a disaster.

1) Varlamov
2) Colorado
3) New Year's Eve (so I'm sure the guys will be nice and focused)

I'm predicting pain, pain and embarrassment

Glad it's nye, so I'll have other priorities than watching the hawks get blanked by varlamov.

(I'm not canadian, I'm just a casual fan.) (Maybe I'll just play my xbox.)

I won't be watching it much as it's the same time as the Bama game.

Let's just remember and be thankful for a hell of a year. 2015 has been great for the Hawks.

Hopefully Danault can add to his string of impressive games because the Hawks are going to need multiple lines rolling tonight to break down Colorado's D and get to Varlamov. I'm really happy that he's making the most of this opportunity, a lot of us have been waiting for this kid to make the team for a while.

Instead of guessing the score, because we know its gonna be a shutout, Im going to guess the Hawks shots per period
First: 10 SOG
Second: 14 SOG
Third: 11 SOG

Avs put up 2 goals.
