Bruins made a ton of mistakes but fought at least.McAvoy 2 assists +1 playing 26:27 was impressive in game like this.Bruins had a couple passengers in this lineup tonite but he was not it regardless of those 2 penalties
The only stat the BRUINS won was penalty minutes. They've been winning that stat pretty consistently.

No matter how you look at the officiating, I think we all can agree the Bruins need to find a way to get more than 2 powerplays a game. Embellishment seems to be in fashion. Probably gotta start drawing attention more.

Lohrei is a defensive liability at this point. Send him back to Providence for more seasoning and play Wotherspoon until Forbort comes back.

Just one shift for the 4th line in the 3rd, 6:30 TOI for the game. Same for Lohrei, bad start left him largely benched in the second half, just 8:30 TOI. All meant the top guys bore a heavy load yet again - Lindholm 29 mins(!), McAvoy 26, Pasta 24, Zacha 22. These sorts of numbers are a frequent occurrence. I'm not comfortable with it. Monty is not trusting his depth and that is putting a lot of strain elsewhere. Potentially asking for trouble down the road.
I'm just about done with the benching the rookies routine tbh, if you're not gonna play them then don't dress them. You just can't double shift the top 6 every single game like this, it's not sustainable.

Lohrei -3 in less than 9 minutes. Perhaps there could have been some consideration of giving the kid a night or two off after losing a tooth the other night. Not like he lost them the game - lots of shite to go around tonight.
Defensive liability describes all 3 pairs tonight. Gotta be the worst game I’ve seen from McAvoy

Yea to me Monty has to stop with that constant shuffling and especially if not going to play them when it don't work.
Marchand's effort on the shorty was worth all the aggravation the rest of this game afforded.

He played forward until 16, i think expectations are far too high for him.

It’s the problem I have. This is supposed to be a transition year. You want to see if the young guys take some rope. Over taxing the top lines screams job saving to me.

Also Merkulov at 4C is such an obviously stupid decision from Monty. It was never gonna work, he is not a 4th liner. He's a skill player that needs to be playing with other skill. If you're not gonna put the kid in a position to succeed then just send him down.
Another 13 goals by Marchand and he hits 400 and can punch his ticket to the HOF.
