I just want to see another strong effort from my boy AX, he needs to be on the first wave of the pp, no more Drouin or Dach at the point because they suck at it.

Dach is fine there, but better on the wall.

Drouin sucks at everything, but putting him out there with Dach makes no sense. Both aren't shooting and you can exist with one guy who's gonna make the passes and not shoot, but not 2. Penalty killers can literally play 4 on 3.

Xhekaj at the point (left handed shot)
Dach and Suzuki rotating between half-wall and the point.
Dvorak net front/bumper.
Caufield one-timer.

No idea why they haven't done this yet.

You can exist with one point man on the PP who won't shoot. Probably won't win the Cup though. See SJ and Joe Thornton. IMO he gets most of the blame for them not winning a Cup. Since he wouldn't shoot they didn't need to cover him so it might as well be 4 on 4.

Scared it might actually work? Something has changed with this team. They got off to a surprising start with much of it being attributed to a weak schedule and Sean Monahan being much better than we expected. Now that we have inevitably crashed back to earth it seems weird that they wouldn't experiment with different options on a pp that is league-worst. We need two top 10 picks but we also need to find out what our young players are capable of. X is definitely the best option and not a 5 forward strategy.

The one good thing about the Habs league worst power play is they are somehow the only team who has yet to give up a short handed goal.
Probably because we spend more than half of each powerplay in our zone or neutral ice drop passing the puck to one another. Its the perfect defensive power play.

That's because we can barely get the puck in, so we constantly have 5 guys in neutral zone. Pretty tough for other team to break free when you're clogging the neutral zone like that.

So how many teams gets to participate in the Bedard lottery? Is it bottom 5 that get to draw a ball? Habs are 13 points out of the last spot so I think that isn't really possible to reach, given that Hawks suck even more than Habs, believe it or not. But, if they can get into top 5... well... as they say...
