I second this. Kane gets so frustrated with Varlamov that he just goes back in his own end and rips one past Crawford to convince his own big head of his that the streak continues. That goal is the only goal scored in the game.

If it were a Hawks team winning streak we were trying to break I could see it happen. I don't think we end the Kane streak though. I think at this point Q will give him extra ice time (within reason) to keep it going - not to mention him being their best player ATM - and with how many shots we've been coughing up, I just don't see it.

That was the 18 year old point streak record... not the rookie record. Not quite as noteworthy when every other hockey age has a point streak record no one cares about.
