This is the PERFECT thread.

Giving it as much as the team is.

When they flip the magic switch and go from their C/B game to their A game then put the effort in.

Right now they are 0-6 in bubble hockey. No confidence they can win one.

Hoping we sort it all out, make trades, and start fresh WITH FANS in Dec/Jan timeframe.

Blues are trying to set an unbreakable record for most post-season losses in a row in one year. We're currently sitting at 5 which is already the record, but we need to extend that into unbreakable territory with 6 in a row.

Then we'll shatter the record for most consecutive wins in a single post-season by winning 16 straight to win the Cup. So we'll not only hold the record for longest losing streak and longest winning streak in a single post-season, we'll have broken both in the same year.

I would start Allen. I probably wouldn’t sink Tarasenko, but I might reduce his minutes and put another winger on some of his shifts with Schwartz and Schenn.

Our goalie has been outplayed by their goalie. Binny outplayed Rask in game 7. That’s why we have a cup. It happens.

I felt good about the teams play in the 3rd and OT last game ( - the breakaway game winner ), but I don't know if I have faith in them to carry that over into this game.

I really don't feel like Binny should take any blame here. That said, if they start Allen they better move guys around in the lineup too. Sending a message that it's all on the goaltending would be detrimental to the team morale.

Need to stay outta the box and get a couple "high danger" saves from our goaltender tonight. The Blues aren't back to the "Oh well, we'll get that one right back" team yet and the moral seems to take longer after a soft goal than the team before the hiatus. A PP goal would be fantastic as well. Must win game. Go Blues!

Oh great.. Dallas/Calgary headed to OT... Get to push back the start even later... Then again tomorrow at 9:30... How hard would it be to setup 2 games each day? Why are teams doing back to back? Makes no sense.

Start an east game at 12. West at 2:30. East at 5. West at 7:30. No reason there should be 9:30 starts.

He just hasn't been good enough. At a certain point your goalie needs to make a big save if you want to be successful in the playoffs and he just hasn't. It's certainly not all on him, but he needs to be better. If he played like this last year there wouldn't have been a cup win.

No offense but you can say "if player x wasn't as good as they were in the playoffs last year then team x doesn't win the cup." For just about anyone.

Binny has made some good saves. Blues are 2nd worst in goals for and 2nd worst in shots allowed per game of the teams still playing.

More glaring to me is the lack of scoring and the bad D. Not even what it was before the break.

Simply put. He has not been good enough and I have no issue if they give Allen a chance tonight. If he's lights out then you put him back in there tomorrow. Allen has shown he can perform in the playoffs. He's also shown he can be a dumpster fire. If he's not great then you go back to Binnington tomorrow.

edit: This isn't to say he's the problem. Too many penalties against and a PP that has been nearly non-existent are bigger issues that he is, imo.

DAL/CGY OT game is going to push back the COL/CHI game, which will push back the STL/VAN game even later...
