A comment about Rundblad and his so-called pedigree that was posted in the pregame thread:

He needs to show at least a glimpse of that pedigree very soon. And to call games in October as not important, is just not correct. Points now are as important as any time in the season. We can't afford to carry this guy for long, playing like he has.

Not sure what he's done so far for the Flames, but the SportsNet broadcasters were talking him up as deserving more minutes in the lineup in the bit of the Flames game I watched last night.

But Country Club Q keeps giving Hossa recess from practice days for some reason...did it in pre-season and now a few times in regulation season...xo not know why old man Hossa gets this special treatment...this old geezer Czech o er in NJ do not get the time off..but of course they are Czech. ..not Slovakia...I guess 35 yr old Slovakia need extra rest for some reason...

Changing the subject...our big gun starry elite scores have some catching up to do...some teams stars have gotten to 5-6 goals already..yes they have played more games. ..but it emphasizes that our big guns had better giddy-up pronto to stay reasonably close and "starry" rather than their usual one and out or zero for the night and I have done enough "starring " for the night attitude...methinks Toes will need to attempt at least 5-6 shots to get a goal and "shine" in "greatness" as compared to first 2 games..1 shot on goal in 2 games "work" simply does not cut it for any nil alleged "star" player let alone a guy we will pay $10.5 milk. to next season...Giddy-up Cap'n...need a 7 pt night fir big guns on line #1...need multi-points night for stars on line #2..if grunts on 3 and 4 chip in...that is gravy..but you pay the big bucks to stars on the top 2 lines...mediocre scoring from them does not cut it.EARN those big bucks...you are supposed to be stars who shine..but instead too often we are left wanting more from our beloved heroes..Trouble is they refuse to pile on. ..settling instead for half-efforts and muted scoring totals.We should be getting al lot more from them. ..if they truly are big stars.
