This one is going to be ugly I think. The Jets barely hung on against lottery teams and now they play an actual good team I think they are gonna get totally throttled. I don't expect more than 6-7 scoring chances at evens all game for the Jets. Helle will have to stand on his head to win this one.

What does that say about Wheeler, Scheifele, and Stastny then who are all rocking worse XGF% then Perfetti is?

You can't use a two game sample to tell you anything of any use. Cole had one of the best XGF% after game one but was on the ice for that shit show goal against in game 2 that essentially destroyed his overall metric. When a single shift can have that impact on your overall results you don't have a big enough sample size.

He's a straight-up rookie, and those were his first two ever games under significant pressure. It would be hard to argue that either those two goals was his fault, and he would have had to get inside Pionk's brain to prevent the second one. I'm much less concerned about a kid desperately trying not to screw up in his first few games than I am about seeing respected vets making the same gaffes/ low-effort plays we've seen them make for years now.
