I've become a big believer that 5 man defense has become far more important than individual defensive talent, mostly because Vegas was one of the better defensive teams in the league not because they had amazing blueliners but because they played a well structured defensive game with all 5 skaters involved. Chicago absolutely does not.

There's no good reason for both defenders to ever be behind their own net at the same time. I can't wait for Brannstrom, Bischoff, Whitecloud, and Hague to be NHL ready so I never have to see Holden or Merrill again. At least Miller can be a factor offensively.
