Missed the third, had to do laundry and forgot it was the santa parade. Did see us get to 4-1, but according the NHL App I missed the part with 1:56 left to go they took back all the goals scored in the 2nd and 3rd lol

That's the first game in a long while that they had something akin to sustained hustle, which apparently was a point of emphasis by Cassidy during yesterday's practice according to the announcers. Well, what he really said was that "Vegas was spending way too much energy in the defensive zone" (well, duh), but the upshot was a much better effort.

Downside: Eichel skated off the ice and went directly to the locker room mid-3rd, apparently with some sort of hip muscle injury. Didn't really see anything to cause it, but it was obviously causing him some pain. Hopefully, more of a cramp than a tear, guess we'll find out Monday.

Finger crossed. Eichel seems to be one of those players cursed with injuries, and of course we all know that he's never completed a full season.

BOTOH, it wouldn't hurt for this team to learn to win without him, as sometimes I get the impression that there is not just a little bit of loafing of the "let Eichel do something" varietal.
