Hawks have great depth on D so I don't fault them for waiving him. It's all of the teams that could have picked him up before us that should be kicking themselves.

That's exactly what it is.

The entire organization and fanbase is obsessed with us. It eats away at them that we have 2 Cups in 4 years while they came up one game short. We're everything they want to be.

I've never seen this amount of talk over a #6 dman waiver pick up before. He's alright, has a little potential, but he's not relevant or important in any way. When they say "Thanks for Stanton" it's their way of saying "**** you and your Cups". You gotta understand how Canuck fans operate, it's like talkin to a moody chick.

Whenever the Canucks can beat the Hawks it gives the organization and fans a chance to feel huge. Last year they played us really good. Yet when the playoffs came.....well we know all the rest.

Question for you: Have you actually seen him play since he left for Vancouver? 10 points in 24 games, 2nd in points for defencemen on the team, ahead of guys like Garrison and Edler. Also a plus 5. Seems pretty solid to me. Maybe he wasn't good enough to make Chicago, but changes can make players better. It's a wake-up call for them. And since Vancouver picked Stanton up he hasn't just been your ordinary 6th guy.

Brah, we had like andrew ****ing alberts and yannick 'thinks i'm shea' weber as the other options for our #6. He's been playing really well for us. Our scouting staff kinda sucks so we're so happy we could get Stanton. I'm surprised other teams didn't pick him up before us.

I hope it's a good game tonight. I hope this rivalry never dies.
